Promotion Items, Need Your Input…

02.22.2011 by Girl on Fire // 3 Comments

So we are working hard promoting Jeremy’s business.  He builds custom ATA Road Cases.  These cases are used for many things.  Mainly he is catering to musicians to house their band equipment to protect them while stored or on the road.  He is also building them for other things such as guns, lighting, computers, etc.

I need your input on what you think the best promotional items are to help get the name stuck in peoples heads.  Something that can be spread around and people see it.

My first thought was promotional pens.  I thought it would be great to have pens printed up for the business.  I thought that we could leave these around places for people to pick up.  Especially at places that bands frequent.  Now, I am trying to figure out if I should have them printed with the name and website.  Or, maybe it should be the name and phone number?  This is where I need help.

The other thing I had posted about before was custom notepads.  My thoughts on this was we could give them to people so again, the name is being spread around each time someone writes a note for someone.  Now on these I am sure I could fit a lot more information.  For sure the logo, name and website.  Do you think it would be too much to post a description of the business on the notepads as well?

Ok, now the last thing I need input on is mugs.  Do you think it would be worthwhile to make really cool custom mugs printed up with the logo and website?  I know we could give them to business owners.

I would love your thoughts as a consumer or business person on what you think would be the best thing to do first.  Thanks!

I vote for the notepads, because like you said… the name will get circulated all over the place.

If you had to go with website vs phone # on something, I’d choose the website. I’m more likely to visit a website than call someone if I want to check them out. You might also think of the sports bottles if you’re distributing your ad stuff directly to musicians – backstage/on-stage/outside concerts are more likely to have these than coffee mugs.

I also think the notepads are a great idea.

The notepads with a short description of the business, web address and phone, along with name is great. If you do the pens I’d stick with the name and web address, and just make sure the phone number is easily visible on the first page of the webpage for his business.
    That’s my input.
