Rolling Rebellion End of Summer Popsicle Party!

08.31.2013 by Girl on Fire // 66 Comments

End of Summer Popsicle Party!

It has been a pretty crazy summer full of a lot of changes!  One thing that has stayed consistent has been Roller Derby.  My children have grown such love for the sport.  It’s kind of hard to explain, but you really start to crave Derby practice.  It’s hard, but you want it!  I am glad that I joined and can totally relate to how my children feel about this amazing sport.  Since it is the end of summer, we decided to throw the Jr. Derby team an end of summer party, featuring Popsicle!Print

I couldn’t think of a better pairing with Jr. Derby than Popsicle!  Roller Derby is HOT in the summer!  It is intense!  Popsicle is perfect for helping everyone cool down after skating hard!  So for our party, we chose to have an open skate, with Derby shirt decorating, snacks, a LOT of water and Popsicle!  I was able to get everything I needed from Target.  They had a great selection of Popsicle products and they were even on sale!

I wasn’t sure how many of our skater kids would show up to the party, So I loaded up the cart with Popsicle!

Seriously, LOADED….
popsiclecart2I grabbed 9 boxes of Popsicle brand goodies for the party!

Turn out was better than I expected!  So many kids showed up!  We had a great time and as soon as they heard there were Popsicles, they raided the deep freeze!
