Our First Day of School…

08.22.2011 by Girl on Fire // 3 Comments

It went extremely well!  Everyone was doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing.  The little ones and I finished a project with Ladybugs today and then went outside and released and played with them for a bit. Watch for a post on that tomorrow evening!

I really didn’t have to buy much as far as school supplies go this year.  I stocked up so much on notebooks and pencils that we really won’t need more for awhile still.  I have purchased more Elmer’s Glue Sticks though, definitely a must!

I am running a bit low on craft supplies though.  I’ll definitely be watching for some good deals after holidays and such.  Oh and Michaels coupons for craft supplies are a must!

Tomorrow is Volleyball again and then the American Heritage Girls kick off!  The girls are excited.  It’s going to be a busy busy day.

How is your school year starting out?

Don’t forget, Michael’s and other places often honor other stores coupons. 😉 Hope the rest of your year goes well.

Hobby Lobby also has great 40 % off coupons right now! Our first day of school was a bit bumpy, but I’m hoping that we can get straightened out! I felt the need to do some reviewing, which was not what the kids wanted to do! I’m waiting on our curriculum so I had to work with what I had! We did make very cool home school t- shirts complete with our own design for a mascot. These were for them to wear to the back to school bash at our church! Everyone would be wearing their school colors or spirit geer from their schools, and we couldn’t be left out! Our shirts were loud and proud that we were home schoolers, and kids and teens all told my girls how cool our shirts were! I was proud to see them feel good and express their creativity as well!

This time we are going to focus more on sports and sports equipments. So its started from the very first day. We have prepared a list of sports equipment that need to be replaced and repaired. Another thing that we did was planning the sports events that we would carry out this year. I hope everything goes well.
