In the age of online shopping, one thing that women may still flock to the store to buy is clothing. Clothing has never been a one-size-fits-all deal; sometimes you can’t find your size at all. It seems in our shopping world that the benefits for shopping online for clothing outweigh going to a brick and mortar store,

Trying on clothes is probably the most important part of a shopping trip. There are so many items that are impossible to size online. Trendy pieces should fit to a tee; the kind of fit you can only ensure in the store.Â
Cute plus-size outfits can be hard to find, but you will have a much better selection if you shop online. You can return items you buy online, sometimes free. Sometimes you can just do an exchange and get the size you need quickly.
Many people love the convenience of online shopping. There are many other benefits. Online shopping is quicker and easier than shopping in stores. You can buy from your couch, your car, your office. You can order with overnight delivery. You can search by color, size, style, and many other aspects. There is nothing more convenient.

You can bank items in the many apps now offered and wait until a price drop to buy. If you save these items in an app, they will be there when you come back, and you can watch as the items you love are restocked and drop in price. Shopping in-store can be pricey, so online shopping is a good alternative for many women who are looking to save a couple of bucks.
If you are familiar with a store and their sizing, it can be much easier to buy online than to drive all the way there to shop. From online Christmas clothes shopping to back to school, websites offer deals like never before seen in the store. You can get your Christmas list checked off in a couple of clicks instead of in a couple of hours.
Still, online shopping is something to be aware of, and not just because they might not carry your exact size. Many experts warn of increased prices as online shopping becomes harder and harder to live without and people get more used to having a store at their disposal day and night. As online shopping becomes more and more prevalent, customers demand the same delivery times and deliveries continue to get larger. It will lead to a demand in small warehouses scattered around the country. These small warehouses and more deliveries contribute to pollution.

In these hard times, especially, returns may become harder. As health concerns limit the reselling of returned products, these extra costs could be passed onto the consumer.
Going to a brick and motor store could help support a local business. Not only will you get to try on the clothes in person, but you will also get the opportunity to support a business that might be struggling in these tough times. Amazon, an international company with millions of employees and dollars behind it, will be fine after the pandemic. Your local thrift store might not be. For the women who avoid online shopping because of the perils of sizing, here’s another reason to keep shopping in person.
In the end, online shopping may seem to be the perfect solution to an ever-changing, busy world, but it might not be a good option for some. There are certainly good things about online shopping that appeal to many, but there are also many limitations. For instance, a woman who fits into a common size, or has the time and money to return as many items as she wants, may love online shopping. On the other hand, a woman who doesn’t have a lot of extra money may prefer shopping in person at thrift stores—there she can get more bang for her buck.
Whether you’re totally on board with online shopping or you can’t help but miss the feeling of picking out clothes in person while you’re shopping from your couch, chances are that you will probably do both in your lifetime. Don’t hold online shopping on a pedestal, but don’t forget about this up and coming way to get your clothes in our modern world.
