One Kid Can Implode Texas Stadium!

01.27.2010 by Girl on Fire // 2 Comments

Do you know or have an amazing kid?  One lucky kid (ages 9-12) who has made a positive, explosive impact to better their community will win the chance to be the one to push the button that will implode Texas Stadium in Irving, TX!

Kids across the U.S. can apply by sending in a 300-words or less essay that details their story and a picture illustrating their story from January 7- February 5, 2010.

“We’re thrilled to reward one lucky kid who positively impacted their community with the opportunity to detonate Texas Stadium in Irving, TX,” said Eileen Rosenfeld, Senior Brand Manager, KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese. “The Texas Stadium explosion is a great way to launch our new product, CHEDDAR EXPLOSION, with one of the biggest bangs in 2010.”

“The implosion of Texas Stadium starts a new chapter for Irving,” said Irving Mayor Herbert A. Gears. “We are excited to partner with such a major national player in launching that new story and believe Kraft Foods’ promotional efforts will really set the stage for the excitement we see.”

My 11 yr old daughter will be entering this! She has already written her essay and we just need to send it in.  Wish her luck!  What an awesome opportunity this will be for one lucky, amazing child!
