Getting the Health Benefits of Natural Cannabis Without the High

06.27.2017 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Natural Cannabis Without the High

Natural cannabis is a topic that is quite divisive. While many states allow for medicinal use, and some now allow for recreational cannabis use, it is known more as a drug people use to get high than a health product. However, as plants go, it probably has more health benefits associated with its use than any other.

If you live in Canada and are wanting to learn how you can purchase and use cannabis you can check out https://lowpricebud.co/how-much-is-a-qp-of-weed-in-canada/.

Cannabis for Health

Cannabis itself is used to treat a wide range of conditions, from helping with chronic pain management to assisting with stress and mental health disorders like anorexia and anxiety. It is prescribed to people from all walks of life to help with a large spectrum of conditions and has been shown to be pretty effective when compared to other prescription methods of treatment. I found a lot of great information on it at https://www.canadacannabisdispensary.ca/product-category/bliss/.

Of course, the downside of using cannabis for health reasons is that you may not want the side effects that come with it. No matter where you stand on recreational marijuana use, chances are you wouldn’t want to feel the high from cannabis all the time. It can make you feel less productive, make it impossible for you to drive or use machinery, cause intense hunger that could lead to weight gain, and generally mean you don’t feel like yourself. Additionally, depending on where you live, using cannabis may mean breaking the law. After all, many people who want the positive health effects of the plant don’t have a condition that would lead a doctor to prescribe it for them.

Can You Get the Health Benefits of Cannabis Without the High?

Happily, many of the health benefits of cannabis can actually be obtained through refined products from the marijuana plant that don’t contain the compound that causes the mental effects. Cannabis contains a huge spectrum of what are called cannabinoids, and these are what give it its unique properties – both for health use and for recreational use. Only one of these, a chemical called THC, causes the high. When you buy cannabis products that have only trace amounts of THC, you can use them comfortably without experiencing the side effects.

The products to look out for are generally called hemp oil, or CBD oil. You can take the oil orally in some water or by simply putting a drop on your tongue. Some people use CBD oil vape juice and take it using an electronic cigarette.

Why People Use CBD Oil

Using CBD oil isn’t really an alternative to taking medically prescribed marijuana, so if you need the drug on prescription it is better to talk to your doctor about ways you can use marijuana without experiencing the high if that is what you want. However, people who don’t need prescription treatment and want the general improvements to well-being, as well as some of the preventative benefits of using cannabis, can use CBD oil to get them without illegal marijuana use or getting side effects they don’t want.

CBD oils are becoming a popular health supplement that many people swear by for overall health and wellbeing.
