My girls love everything that they have ever received from National Geographic. The National Geographic Kids Almanac 2016 edition tops the list of favorites!
The new and updated 2016 edition is aimed at ages 8-12 and came out in May of 2015. It is has over 350 pages and contains 900+ incredible photographs. You know that National Geographic always has the best photos! As a photographer, I am always amazed at the photos that National Geographic prints. There are pages packed with weird-but-true facts that will hold a kids interest (an adult too!).
There are also crafts, activities, recipes, first hand accounts by Nat Geo Explorers, and articles about animals, science, nature, going “green,” technology and so much more. It also offers mobile media features. By using clues found in the book, kids can unlock these online digital extras.
There is so much greatness packed in this almanac. I find my girls looking at the book often and telling me things they learned from reading it. It is a great educational resource to have on hand.
