My T.J Maxx Deal!

01.27.2010 by Girl on Fire // 2 Comments

Our dishes that we have had for years are a mix match of things found and given to us.  We kept saying we were going to buy a matching set, but it was one of those things that got pushed aside.  Not anymore!

A few weeks ago I ventured on over to one of my favorite places to shop, T.J. Maxx.  I found my dishes!  Exactly what I wanted and at a great price!  I spent a long time in the store looking at all the goodies, there are always interesting things to be found at T.J. Maxx. I’ll tell you about my dishes first though!

White Dishes

I love them!  Plain white, square dishes!  I got them at a great price too!  This is a 45 piece Entertaining Set by Hotel Balfour.  The listed price was $78.00!  I bought them for $29! That my friend is a great deal!  I think the set is very pretty and goes with pretty much any mix match pieces I want to add to it.  Just look how pretty my coffee looks in the coffee cup!

White Coffee Cup Caramel Macchiato

I also picked up a great Cast Iron Skillet while I was there for only $15.00! I have always wanted one, but again this was a purchase that was pushed aside.  Couldn’t pass it up for that price!  There was so much in the kitchen supplies that caught my eye and I will be heading back soon.

I love all the unique things you can find at T.J. Maxx.  Check out this awesome cookie jar!

DSC_0002Remember the commercials….“You get the max for the minimum at TJ Maxx!” ?  It’s still true!  Do they still have that on the commercials?

When was the last time you checked out T.J. Maxx?

What a great puechase. I love TJ Maxx as well as HomeGoods. I live by one of the Lenox Warehouses. This is where Ebay sellers go to pick up their goods. It is open to the public, but check dates and times as they’re not open all-yr-round. Lenox also carries the ‘DANSK’ brand which can be purchased for reeeally inexpensive (I think I paid $8 for a boxed service for 4). I’m not even gonna tell you the prices for the Lenox bcuz you would fall over. Lines at Christmas time can be miles long to get in. This is where Replacements (the china replacement giant) used to shop bringing in van after van after van and filling them up. So many of the Ebayers (I used to be one!) complained that they finally made a deal with Lenox I think so people don’t have to see them in the warehouse. LOL. I was there on Mon and they had a buy 3 clearance bowls, get the 4th free. Plus a 20% off coupon. I didn’t find 4 bowls…after a while it all begins to look like junk..even Lenox. But I did find two small Hancock (part of their Presidential line) fruit bowls on clearance which has 24K gold on the rims, from USA…much of Lenox is now made in China) @$4.97 each plus the 20% discount. I thought that a good deal. Lenox Warehouses (not the discount stores) can be found online at Lenox.com by doing a store search. Theres only 4 or 5 I think. THey also carry Kate Spate and Dept. 56. Good deals on Spade, not so much on D56. I love a good bargain. Enjoy your new dishes!
