So I don’t know about y’all, but I am constantly stressed! I am always looking for outlets and activities that help me balance it all a bit. I have tried yoga, running, and other things. Honestly though, working out really isn’t my strong suit! (OOPS)
In my quest to find activities to help clear my mind and help me destress, I have found some pretty cool things! One of those things being online games! Growing up I was never really big on video games, but now that I older and a parent, I have found that they provide somewhat of a brain break.
I have been giving myself a time slot every night to feed my newly found addiction! I’m trying not to do it too close to bedtime so my brain is still in relax mode, but I definitely find myself playing for about 30 minutes before shower time!
My favorite one is called SuperMarket and I am literally obsessed! I get to do fun things like run my own grocery store! You get to stock the store, manage it and even save the money from sales to buy other items in the game! The funny thing about this is the fact that I hate grocery shopping!

Toddler games too!
In my quest to find fun things for myself, I also found some pretty neat things for my toddler! I found a little keyboard simulation that he is now obsessed with! Not only does it play like a normal keyboard, but it also makes cute little animal noises! Sometimes I let my son play this game while I enjoy (actually chug) my coffee!
Taking some time to myself and just relaxing while playing my games, has done wonders for my stress levels! I just get in the zone for about 30 minutes and everything that I’m stressing about kind of becomes background noise.
I have found tons of sites with fun and free games! My top two being Plays.Org and Prodigy. The options are limitless and I am able to find a game for just about any mood that I’m in.
Finding free games for my son has also been a tremendous help. I try to limit his screen time, but sometimes we have those days and I just need him to be distracted with something for even a few minutes. I also love that there are so many educational games as well, those help ease my screen time guilt a lot!
