My mom is awesome! I haven’t always been the best kid, I always had attitude and back talk. I came by it honestly though…my mom. I learned a lot from her.
I remember being embarrassed going places with her because if something was not right she told them about it. I would lower my head and try to inch a way.
I remember being a punk rock girl and sitting in a restaurant where an entire family was talking smack and my mom let them have it. I do this now.
Today, I am my mom in most ways. I speak my mind, I don’t get stepped on. My oldest daughter has blue and purple hair. She is me. I am her. Thank you Mom!
Crazy how that all works. There are ways where I wish I were even more like my mom. Her house is always perfect. She can figure out and organize anything. She’s stronger than me, but I’m still growing as a person and one day I’ll be even more like her. Yes, at 36 years old I am still growing as a person. Getting better everyday!
I never usually buy Mother’s Day Cards. Isn’t that terrible? I think this year I will get my mom a Mother’s Day photobook since they live so far away.
Are you like your mom? Do you notice yourself turning into her more and more each day?

I am a lot like my mom – especially when it comes to who we are inside of our hearts. I learned a lot from my mom and am so very proud she is MINE!
Wow! This is the most wonderful thing you could ever give me. Being like me! You rock kid. I never wanted anyone to mess with you or anyone else I love and care about. Remember the time I asked a whole booth of people if they had a camera so I could take a pic of you and your friends so they could have a memory? LOL
Now I envy you, being so patient, not worrying about the dust bunnies like I did, so afraid they would make you and your brother sick. I have learned so much from you as you have been and like you say, still are, growing. For you to get through each day, doing all you do, with your illness..you are amazing. Happy Mother’s Day to most awesome Mom I have ever known.
