My Comforter is 12 Years Old!

12.11.2009 by Girl on Fire // 9 Comments

I know I am a tightwad, but I just realized my comforter set for my bed is 12 years old!  I got it when I was pregnant with Morgan.  Doesn’t that mean I deserve to buy a new set? Yea, that is what I thought!

-!Hotel by Park Avenue Bijoux Bedding Coordinates at Kohls--176642830Kohls Bedding had some nice stuff at some great prices.  The Hotel by Park Avenue Bijoux Bedding Coordinates look pretty nice.  I like the color combo on it.  This is definitely something my daughter Morgan would go for.  She really likes the color combination on this one.  They also have it in a minty green color too.

I like the stark black and white design of the Daisy Fuentes Allure Bedding Coordinates.  I just -!daisy fuentes Allure Bedding Coordinates at Kohls--176648037don’t think the J-man would go for it.  If it was just a room for me, then that might be the one.  Maybe I could convince Morgan that she wants this one?  That way… technically, I still have it!

-!daisy fuentes Diva Striped Coverlet at Kohls--242603531I think in order to please both the J-man and I, I need to pick something that is not too girly.  Maybe something in browns?  This Daisy Fuentes Diva Striped Coverlet would probably be perfect.  It would be manly enough for him without having to go full blown camo or something equally lame.  Not that he would want camo bedding…..atleast I hope not!

It has been that long! wow, that means mine is Uh,,,wow, mine is really old……
As far as you getting what you like, which has never been the frills of lace and pretty pink bows, I bet the J-man could still fall asleep just fine on the comfy bed, no matter what set you bought.
Go for it……if he has issues, tell him to give me a call! 🙂

We just replaced our 2 year old bedding but it is because we went to a king size bed. I love black and white and luckily Casey let be go wit it.

We have a king size too…I don’t think I could ever go for a smaller bed.

I really like the set you’ve shown in the brown hues. Very nice. Yep, you deserve a new set. Twelve years is a long time. I think I’ve had 3 sets since I’m been married.

Three sets? I’m jealous! I’m thinking if I had two then I could switch them often and not get bored! Did you keep the old ones?

No, I didn’t keep them. I donated them to a church who covered over them with a patch work style of donated materials and gave them to poor people in the colder mountain areas of Mexico.
