Multiple Streams of Income?

01.05.2012 by Girl on Fire // 4 Comments

One of our biggest goals is to have multiple streams of income.  We are starting out slow, but one day hope to step it quite a bit.  I’m thinking after we purchase our own home that we can step it up to investing.  In the meantime, I’m looking into learning as much as possible about property investing for beginners.  I think with Jeremy’s skills that this would be a logical choice for us.

I know that you can make a pretty significant income if you have several investment properties.  Totally something to look into.  I know that some people are even buying overseas properties.  I doubt that would be a route we would ever be able to take, but imagine if you could?  How cool would that be?  Purchase a property in another country, have it leased out when you are not enjoying it for yourself?  Sounds pretty awesome!

For us though, I think it would be more of the “flipping” or even fixing up and renting out.  Have you ever owned investment property?  Was it difficult?  Did you enjoy it?  Hopefully someday we can get to this for ourselves.  Until then, we will just keep on working at it all.

We have never done it…But have always wanted to. Now would be a great time to invest in rental property (I think hahah) because the prices of houses are so low!

We are looking at purchasing a new home now…if we find a really good deal that we can’t pass up. Our goal is to lease out he home we are in now; wait until the market is up and then think about selling it later. We’ll see how/if it all goes well.

Hello! My husband and I are just getting into real estate and are pretty excited about it. One thing that held me back for a long time was the commitment, dedication and possibly fear. We have several friends that own real estate and like any ownership it has times when it’s not been so much fun. (breaking leases, finding residents or something is broken). However they are all still doing it and highly recommend getting into it. I think one thing that helped me was buying my own business. In 2010 I bought one through Pure-Ecommerce and it was honestly the best decision I have ever made. After that and seeing we could make it work we are now looking at other revenue streams as well. Good luck!

Hi Nicole! I have looked into those and have really thought about it. Did you go through http://pure-ecommerce.com/category_7/Turnkey-Businesses.htm? Was there a large investment? I really need to step up my income. My medical bills are so much and I am not even doing all the tests I need to do because I can not afford them. I would love to hear more either here in comments or by email. THANKS!
