Check out this video from the film and television industry that I have embedded below. It shows how movies and Television bring us together, inspire us, Cheer us up and more. Some movies show you that you can do anything you put your mind to. Some show us that our life could always be worse.
Movies and Television change us, help us to believe as well as even helping us to overcome any challenge life throws our way. This is the anthem that runs through the core of WhereToWatch.com.

First movie I watched with hubby was Forrest Gump. Great commercial because storytelling really is amazing in how it shapes our lives.
I agree – and I love to lose myself in a good movie or television series when I am feeling down and need inspiration.
I know that movies can completely change my mood. I think it’s a combination of being impressionable plus the amazing talent of directors, actors, etc.
Movies inspire me in so many ways. Especially if it’s the right movie.
I agree – movies and television DO change us! It’s so funny because when I watch something sappy, my husband says it’s going to skew my idea of what romance should look like! 😉
Gosh, that was such a great montage of some of my favorites. “There’s that line you quote at every party..” Yes!
My first date with my husband was Toy Story 3, I’ll never forget that. It is true film and television can have a big impact on people.
I agree. It’s nice to watch a good movie.
My husband and I quote movie lines all of the time. My favorite is from Married to the Mob when the guy says “I’ve been thinking” and the woman says “there you go, working without tools again.” It makes me laugh EVERY TIME I say it.
I have some favorites I’ll watch over and over! Great choice of clips in that video, love it!
Most of our date nights revolve around a TV show or a movie at home. And we had a lot of movie dates when we first stated dating, too. Lots of memories!
Movies are powerful indeed and can really shape how we see ourselves, our world and everyone around us. That’s why I’m extremely careful with my movie selections for my girls. I love movies with positive messaging…
The very first movie my husband and I saw together was on our first date and it was called The Bone Collector.

When movies are done well they can really transport you. I love being drawn into a great movie or tv show and feeling connected to the characters.
I like so many of the movies they put in this too! I love getting lost in a good story and becoming attached to characters!
It is amazing how many of these movies I quote! I love losing myself in a movie. It brings me places I wouldn’t go otherwise!
I’ve always found the Tyler Perry movies to be quite inspiring! One of my top favorites is The Family That Preys. There’s a scene in the movie where Charlotte (Kathy Bates) asks her friend Alice (Alfre Woodard) a serious question, “Are you living or just existing?” before going on a road trip (Alice had always made excuses before about why she couldn’t travel). A movie quote never struck a chord more than that one, as it helped me renew my zest for life. Life is about taking chances. because opportunity sometimes only knocks on the door once.
