Since I had already bought my mother her Mother’s Day gift I let my kids shop for me for Mother’s Day. We had a $40 Gift Card to Sam’s Club to shop with. I made this a challenge for my kid’s! They were to pick out a few things for me that would fit the $40 budget.
I thought this would be simple, but there was so much to choose from that it took them a little while to work it all out! They looked at the flowers, which were gorgeous and within the budget. There were many beautiful choices!
We especially loved the flowering cactus!
We found this gorgeous arrangement that comes in a photo frame box! It was pretty awesome!
Lauren Especially loved these…
There were plenty of display areas out to make shopping for gifts a bit easier. They had the nice bath sets, book selections, Purses, robes and many more wonderful gift items! I even found this lovely display out for Mother’s Day! I’ll leave this one for the Hubby to get me…
Check out what my children actually got for me while staying within the $40 budget!
They also picked out a 2 CD set of Celtic Music for me. That was only $9.88! I think they picked out some great things and was proud of them for making the choices that kept it within the budget they were given. You can check out more of the great deals for this Mother’s Day by clicking here and scrolling down to where it says Mother’s Day Gifts.
Don’t forget about the Grim Grill Contest!!
Sam’s Club provided me with a $40 gift card for my participation in this campaign from April 26th through May 24th.

What a great idea!! When my daughter is older I’m pretty sure my husband will have her do the gift buying since he hates that part anyways 🙂 Your kids did great!

It’s a good way to teach budgets and bargain shopping! everything they picked were things they knew I would love. I didn’t have to do much besides push the cart. Morgan did the math and all the girls had input. Even the little ones learned from it!
I bet they had fun while actually learning. They picked out great things that will last. Flowers are here today and gone tomorrow! So did they all get a good grade?
