My most memorable Valentines Day was a few years back. My children had made me a coupon book. I loved that so much. It was so thoughtful of them to do. Jeremy usually prepares my favorite breakfast and caters to me a little on special days like that. Oh, and Chocolate! Those are the things that stand out in my head.
Now don’t get me wrong, a weekend getaway with the J-man would be awesome. Just the two of us for a whole weekend? How nice it would be to save up some extra money or get some sort of cash advance and hit the road. A nice hotel, a hot tub, out of the way diner’s…that would be so awesome. I would love to just get out in the middle of nowhere, shoot even camping out under the stars would be great.
Time alone with the J-man would truly be a great Valentines Day. Don’t get me wrong, I love love love being with the kids! But couples do need to have that time alone once in awhile. Just spending time having fun, relaxing, whatever…it’s good for you. Maybe this year we can plan for it. Last year the J-man had a show with Agnostic Front and I had the stomach flu. I spent Valentines Day sick at a concert that was too packed. It wasn’t a great Valentines Day, but at least we spent it together and that is what is important.
What is your most memorable Valentines Day?
