Menu Plan Monday, July 5th

07.05.2010 by Girl on Fire // 7 Comments

Menu Plan Monday is something I used to do, but life got in the way with being sick.  Actually Menu Planning makes things easier, so I am starting it up again here at our house!

I’m actually planning this as I type, so let’s see what pops in my brain!

Tonight we will have what is on hand.  I had planned to go to the grocery store today after posting our plan.  Sadly though…my wee one, Emma, has 102.5 fever and says she feels like she is going to throw up.  So I have her decked out on the living room floor with a pallet so that I can keep a good eye on her.

So here goes:

  • Monday: Penne Pasta with Sauce and Meatballs, Cheesy Texas Toast too…mmm
  • Tuesday: Frozen Lasagna meal (veggie)
  • Wednesday: Slow Cooker Turkey Breast, Mashed Taters and Gravy, Green Beans
  • Thursday: Stir fry with left over Turkey and Tofu, Rice
  • Friday:  Bean and Cheese Quesadilla’s
  • Saturday:  Grillin’ time, variety with Corn on the Cob
  • Sunday:  Leftovers

Now just to find a time to go shopping!  Maybe after the daddy get’s home!

So do it! I get sick of stressing over what’s for dinner. So anyhow, I did swamp Monday and Tuesday planned meals. Emma got a fever so I didn’t want to sit watching food cook. So I did the frozen lasagna today.

Poor little one sick! I hope she is better real soon. The menu planning makes life so much easier. I could not manage if I did not put the menu on the frig each week. My brain cannot decide each day. No changes unless, of course something happened like little Emma getting sick. We actually had the clean out the frig dinner tonight, all left overs. The variety can be weird but it works! :)I do the same with my work clothes, stage them all on Sat am for the next work week, top and pants all on one hanger so I do not have to give it a thought. Life is too busy.

They all sound delicious especially the slow cooker turkey breast. I haven’t had that in ages. Maybe I’ll add it to my menu this week.
