I sure do love this part of my job! The part where they just throw cars at me to drive around town and have fun in. This time it was the Mazda3. If you recall, not too long ago I was able to take the Mazda5 on a road trip to Oklahoma for a Jr. Derby bout. It was AMAZING! That car had so much room!
The Mazda3 is very different than the Mazda5. The Mazda3 is a get up and go cruisin’ car. Not a lot of room for a family the size of mine, but great for a single person, a couple and even someone with 2 kids. Don’t get me wrong, we were able to comfortably fit in the Mazda3, but close quarters can get pretty nerve racking for me. It isn’t a car I would choose to have as a mom of 3, but take me back before 3 kids and I would have totally said, yea…that car is for me!
First thing I loved about it? The sporty red color! Red is my favorite color! I wanted to jump in and zoom all over the place, too bad that this one wasn’t a manual hahahaha! First thing the girls loved about it? Well, look at the photo below and you’ll see!
Second thing we loved…it’s a happy car! Look at that smiling front end! I’m pretty sure this car was a girl, she had pretty eyes…Do you see it, or is my family and I just weird?
The trunk had a ton of room for a sporty car!
She pretty much screams summer…
One of our friends has an older Mazda3 and she absolutely loved it. I noticed that the body style and look of the cars tends to still be the same. If there were differences in the body styles of her car and this one, then they were minute. One thing I do know of that was different was the new Mazda’s SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY.
The 2013 Mazda3 delivers improved fuel efficiency without sacrificing the driving dynamics you’ve come to expect from Mazda.
I can totally attest to that. This car got amazing gas mileage. We drove this alllll over the place! EPA-estimated 40 MPG Highway! The Mazda3 was also named a top 2013 safety pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
All in all, this was a fun car to drive. I loved the Satellite radio as usual. I loved being able to easily pull out into traffic, park in a parking spot and just get up and go. It’s a great little car with a smooth ride! Check it out for yourself!
I drove the Mazda3 for one week to facilitate this review. No compensation was received and all opinions are my own. Yes, that is a tattoo of a penguin with a machine gun, combat boots and a cigarette on my leg done by Trey Edinger at Lone Star Tattoo. Yes, I am that awesome.

What a sporty little car! My teenage daughter is a new driver and I’m sure she would love something like that.
I love that little car! I would totally drive it. Red it the best color for ANY car. All it needs is those long eyelashes for the headlights & your set to roll
UGH! You’re not your!
