Have you ever thought about writing a book and getting it published? My husband has been working on a book for a bit now and it’s time to start considering the idea of getting it published. Mascot Books is a publishing company that can help people get their books out there. I mean, what’s the point of writing a book if you don’t want to share it with others right? This post is brought to you by Mascot Books. All opinions are my own.
Mascot Books started publishing their own books back in 2003! The whole thing got started when the CEO’s daughter wanted to read a book about his Alma Matter’s (Virginia Tech) Mascot The Hokie Bird. So, he wrote a book. Naren Aryal basically had to do everything on his own to self-publish the book. This included hiring an editor, illustrator, graphic designer, buy an ISBN and find a printer! After all of that work, 5,000 books showed up on his doorstep. “Hello Hokie Bird” ended up being a great success, so he went on to publish hundreds of books that featured colleges, professional teams and their mascots. Can you tell where they came up with the name of Mascot Books now?
Mascot Books decided a few years back that they wanted to help other authors get published as well. So they came up with a full-service publishing service. Full service, meaning they will provide service to produce, market, sell and distribute your book. You can learn more about the people that make things happen at Mascot Books on their website, MascotBooks.com.
Don’t let the name hold you back. Even though they got their start with children’s books about mascots, today they publish books in all genres! This includes fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks and more! Check out their program on MascotBooks.com. Do you have a book idea? They told me that I could share a great deal with you. Mention that you read about them over here on NotSoAverageMama.com and that they are offering $200 off the cost of publishing!
