I Went to Market Street and Didn’t Come Home… #MarketStreetTX #Spon

07.22.2014 by Girl on Fire // 24 Comments

…for many hours!  Wow, I had never been to a Market Street store before.  Heck, I had not even heard of them before, but turns out there is one right down the road from me in Flower Mound, Texas.

Market Street

Morgan and I went to Market Street today.  I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I can tell you that it was all awesome and I spent the better part of the day there.  Seriously, like hours.  The first thing I saw when I walked in was the glorious produce section.  Right there, in my face….fruits and veggies from Texas.  Yes, Texas grown foods.  They always source produce locally before they look elsewhere.  So, not everything is from Texas, but if they can get it from Texas…then they do!

They even had signs up showing the different Texas farming families that provide the produce.

They also have a lot of organic fruits and vegetables on hand…they even tell you the daily count…

So after we drooled over the awesome produce section, we noticed a salad bar.  A massive salad bar.  Oh, and an olive bar.  Then we remembered we had not eaten yet and figured we should probably try a lot of the things they had to offer…so we did.  It was soooo good.  The cold pasta salads….holy cow…best stuff ever!

Then, while I was eating…I glanced up and saw this little slice of heaven…

Market Street

I’ll tell you more about that another time though…

The Flower Mound store is the newest location in the DFW area.  They incorporated new features into this location.  One of those features is a wine bar and this is the only location that has one so far!  This location also offers an expanded health & wellness section (love this! I picked up some things from here), more bulk items (YAY!), fresh sushi made every day, dry aged beef, and a large selection of gluten free products.  The gluten free section is truly impressive.  I plan on talking more about all of this in a later post.market street best of texas

OOOOHHHH that looks like my kind of store!! I love that they support local farmers and share with their customers where the foods are coming from. I buy local as much as I can and love to support stores that are as committed to it as I am.. and deliver top quality foods I can feed my family.

I love stores like this! We have one near us that carries all local grown vegetables and I love when I’m able to stop in. I did last week, in fact, and saved a ton of money on produce, which is never a bad thing.

I loved seeing the Texas labels on so many of the foods! It was great! Also, they do not carry GMO produce!

Wow. I wish there was a Market Street near me. I want to buy from local farmers and merchants and get whats best from my family. I do as much as I can but bigger stores like this are further away from my home.

I have never heard of Market Street. By the looks of it, it reminds me of The Fresh Market, which I go to frequently! 🙂
