Mamavation, Tomorrow is your Last Chance!

03.31.2010 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

If you are serious about changing your life by getting in shape you need to check out Mamavation!  Tomorrow is the last day you can get your application in!

  • Applications Accepted March 22nd to April 1st
  • Voting for the top 2 Mamavation Moms will go from April 5th to 12th
  • The winners will be announced during the Twitter Launch Party April 12th from 5-7pm PST/8-10pm EST
  • Mamavation Campaign #4 goes from April 13th to May 28th

Taken from the Mamavation site:

Stop! First you will have to complete a video application and answer the question, “Why do you want to be the next Mamavation Mom AND what will YOU do to inspire other moms online?” Please keep your responses to under four minutes. As soon as you are finished, post the vlog to your blog with a description of the campaign and grab the Mamavation button.

If you’ve already done all that, by all means, continue…

You must first have the following qualifications and adhere to a couple of rules to apply.

  1. Own a Wii or be willing to purchase one for your use in the campaign
  2. Own an active blog
  3. Twitter daily
  4. Must be willing to tweet, blog, and vlog about the campaign.
  5. Must be willing to keep a daily food/exercise journal that you keep public on Bookieboo
  6. Must be willing to take measurements and “before” pictures
  7. Must be willing to follow the advice of the Bookieboo Mamavation team
  8. Must be willing to do a weekly post on Mamavation experience on own blog (and copy it to the Mamavation site as a guest editor)
  9. Must be willing to appear on Mamavation TV EVERY Monday night at 7pm PST/10pm EST between the dates of April 12th to May 28th
  10. Must be willing to do weekly videos and post on Mamavation & YouTube
  11. Must be willing to support marketing plans of sponsors
  12. Must be cleared by a physician for high intensity exercise, calorie limited diet AND psychological conditions that would prevent them from fully participating in this campaign.
  13. No vacations or any planned events that would prevent you from participating the full 7 weeks

After you have submitted your application, show me that you already have support from your friends online. You will need to lean on them some days, so show me they exist and that you ALREADY have a network of friends that care about you. Have them tweet at me the following message, “Hey @bookieboo! I want (@insertyourIDhere) to be the next #Mamavation Mom. She has my support!” This step is important, because regardless of the outcome, EVERYONE knows you have made a step toward healthy living. Whether you make the final 5 or not, they will hold you to your pledge of wanting to live healthy.

What are you waiting for? Go over to Mamavation and get started on changing your life!

All Those Meds…

One thing that worries me about the medicines I take are the side effects.  I mean, you really do not know how a medication is going to cause your body to react until you try it.  Even then you can have reactions later on after you have been taking it for awhile.  It can be […]
