Making Spring Cleaning Easier
Many of you know that we live out in the country. I have kids that play outside making mud pies and I encourage playing in the rain. We also have quite a few critters that make their way in and out of our house. There are the dogs and sometimes even a chicken or two…we’ve even had rescued bunnies and even a goat a time or two. It’s kind of hard keeping things in order around here, even though I try so hard. It’s a good thing that there are tools to help me get cleaning jobs done with less effort. One of my daily use tools is Windex®. I’ve partnered with SCJ to bring you this post. All opinions are my own.
I’ve tried the generic versions and they just do not work like the original blue beast! So to get our spring cleaning moving in high gear, we went to Walmart to get a shiny new bottle of this liquid blue gold! There are several different versions that Windex® Brand has these days. I choose to stick with the original.
I even scored by finding a bonus 32oz bonus bottle! 23% more free than the reg 26oz bottle that I normally get.
At our local Walmart, you can find Windex® in the cleaning aisle that is located in the grocery section. Super easy to find and a great selection of products to choose from.
A lot of people think Windex® is just for cleaning glass, like windows and mirrors. Dude, Windex® Brand does so much more than that! I know that Windex® Original Glass Cleaner is America’s #1 glass cleaner, but it is an amazing multi-purpose cleaner too! It can also be used to clean sealed granite and marble, glass shower doors, chrome bathroom fixtures, lucite, tile, plastic, vinyl, aluminum and more.
My little ones love to come in from outside and put their filthy hands all over the walls. Why they think this is ok, I’ll never know. It’s like they come in from outside and then caress the walls with a mud massage or something. I’m pretty sure you guys know what I’m talking about….right? Please tell me you know what I am talking about….please, I need to know that it’s not just my house.
Really, look….this is under the light switches for the kitchen.
Spray on a little Windex® Original Glass Cleaner and wipe. This is without scrubbing, just a simple swipe with a cloth. My walls will need a bit more elbow grease to be pretty, but this was pretty effortless.
I let my kids cook a lot, they love it. They don’t love cleaning up afterwards, though, so I am left with messes. I guess it’s ok for a tradeoff. They cook meals sometimes and I clean up afterwards. Here is one of those lovely after dinner messes on the stove.
A little spray of Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, you can see it already dissolving.
A quick swipe with a rag and it’s gone!
Lots of elbow grease for home cleaning is something this mama doesn’t have. My RSD makes that extremely hard. When you can barely lift a towel to fold it, it’s kind of hard to do a lot of scrubbing. This is why I love how easily Windex® works to loosen dirt and clean up messes. What messes do you clean up with Windex® Original Glass Cleaner?

I use Windex for most of my cleaning, even on my antigue bedroom furniture and rattan/bamboo pieces. I use it on my shower walls and shower curtain when I get out of the shower. Helps keep the soap scum down. It also works well to remove rings from swollen fingers. This idea came from a jeweler!
