Makeup Bags: What You Need In Yours

More often than not, our makeup bags can become full of products we don’t need or use. There are so many different cosmetics in the shops these days; it can be easy to end up buying a lot of unnecessary ones! Do you think it’s time to clean out your makeup bag and just get back to the essentials? If so, here are a few things you definitely need to keep in there.

Mascara

If you are ever feeling tired, just apply some mascara, and you will instantly look a lot more awake than what you feel! If your eyelashes are particularly thin, a layer of mascara can make them look a lot fuller and more voluminous. Feeling a bit blue? That shouldn’t put you off from wearing mascara as there are many waterproof varieties that will stay on even if you cry!

Foundation

Foundation is one of the first products you should apply when doing your makeup. It can smooth out the surface of your skin so that your other makeup goes on very easily. Foundation can also reduce the appearance of blemishes and breakouts. What’s more, it will also give your skin an even tone. When you are shopping for foundation, try to find one that is close to your skin tone. Otherwise, you might end up looking like you’ve applied fake tan!

Lipstick

Lipstick is one of the best ways to add a burst of colour to your overall look! Simply pull out your lipstick and apply to your lips. Then you’ll be good to go and face the world! You will be able to find this product in a wide range of shades and colours. So whether you want your lips to be ready for a chic evening event or just another day in the office, you will certainly find a lippy to suit you!

Makeup Brush

Of course, you can apply your makeup with your fingers but to get the best application, you should use brushes. You will find brushes of all shapes and sizes online at Sigma cosmetics. They each have their own use. Small brushes are best for colourful eyeshadow while larger ones are suitable for applying foundation and blusher. Remember to wash your brushes regularly. Otherwise, they become a breeding ground for nasty bacteria!

Tweezers

You need tweezers to keep your eyebrows in order! Even if you visit a beautician to get them waxed, you should still have a pair of tweezers at home. This will help you get rid of any stray hairs you notice. You can also pluck away any unwanted hairs from your top lip and chin. If you don’t enjoy plucking your eyebrows, you should instead buy some small wax strips to help you keep on top of your grooming.

Hopefully, this blog post will have given you an idea of the type of things you should keep in your makeup bag. And what about everything else? If you havenÄt used the item in six months, bin it.

Mascara is my #1! Just one coat really can make the difference between looking alive or like a zombie. Great article.
