Keep Your Family Healthy with LYSOL! #Healthing

04.09.2013 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Right now it seems that everyone we know is going through some sort of funk.  The ickies, the cooties, the plague…it’s running rampant!  So far I seem to only be having issues with allergies, thank God!  I do not want this plague that everyone has been overrun by.  We use LYSOL® in our home to help keep us as healthy as possible!

Remember to practice proper hand washing as well after you clean, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer. Hand washing is the single most important thing you can do to prevent illness, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

LYSOL® is a product that I can remember my mom using when I was growing up.  It’s tried and true and can always be found in our home.  My favorite Lysol products are LYSOL® Multi-Surface Clean, LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray and the LYSOL® Disinfecting Wipes.  Those 3 products can always be found in our home.

We use the LYSOL® Multi-Surface Clean for cleaning our bathrooms, floors, kitchen counters…pretty much everything.  I also use the LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray on beds, door handles and even our skate gear.  The LYSOL® Disinfecting Wipes are so great!  I remember when they first came out and couldn’t wait to try them.  They have so many uses for quick clean ups, I used them in the tattoo shops all the time.  With these 3 products I feel pretty confident that things are clean and that the germs are being kept at bay.

LYSOL is introducing the concept of Healthing. Healthing is a new idea centered on keeping families as healthy as possible, by looking beyond just cleaning and ensuring that the proper steps are taken to stay well.   To help spread the word about Healthing, LYSOL has teamed up with television personality Giuliana Rancic.  They have partnered together to visit YMCAs in select markets across the country to demonstrate Healthing in action.

Know the difference between cleaning and disinfecting! Both are important components of the Healthing process and LYSOL® has products that can help with all related tasks.  While cleaning and organizing is certainly important, killing germs on commonly touched surfaces can lower the risk of spreading bacteria and viruses between members of the family.

At each of the chosen YMCA locations, LYSOL is giving attendees hands-on education about the products and steps  to  improve hygiene habits in their own homes.  They are also making this fun for kids.  LYSOL will also provide educational information and disinfecting products to the local YMCAs, along with the donation of a one-year membership to a deserving family.  Isn’t that great?  I would love  a membership to the YMCA.

KRAFT MilkBite Taste Test with the Kids!

A granola bar that is found in the refrigerated dairy aisle? I thought that was a bit strange and had to check them out myself.  The KRAFT MilkBite bars have real milk in them, this is why they need to be refrigerated.  They also contain whole grain granola along with other healthy ingredients like fruit or roasted […]
