Lynda.com a Great Learning Resource!

08.13.2012 by Girl on Fire // 6 Comments

How come I never heard of Lynda.com before?  Seriously, it’s like the coolest thing ever.  I love to learn on my own, but when I need help on something, I really need to see it done.  Reading about it just doesn’t cut it.  I am a very visual person, those of you that know me can probably tell that.  I am also hands on, so I need to work at my own pace and learn at my own pace.

Lynda.com allows me to do just that!  Right not I am taking a course on Exposure.  I feel I am pretty good with this, but there is always room for improvement.  I love the instructor in the photography course I am taking.  He speaks in terms that I can understand.  I’m not a technical person, I am a do it person.

Lynda.com is an online subscription library. You can learn how to use the latest software tools there! There are over 1,300 online courses to help train you in 3D + animation, audio, video, photography, graphic design, web and interactive design, business, and web/mobile/app development from expert instructors.  You can log in 24/7!  This is great for busy moms like me.  I can even take my iPad and hide in the bathroom so that I can watch the videos without being disturbed.

I’ll be writing another review detailing some of my experience with Lynda.com.  I will also be hosting a giveaway where 2 readers will win a subscription!  The subscription is valued at $357!  So make sure you come back for my next post on Lynda.com!

I received a subscription to Lynda.com to facilitate this review.  No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

I saw so many amazing topics I want to take! I always love learning but i just hate all the homework that goes with a typical college class. This seems like my kind of website!

This sounds like a very helpful subscription to have! I am always googling tutorials on how to do different things with WordPress and Photoshop – it would be so convenient to have so many helpful videos in one place.
