Looking to Hear Some New Music?

11.13.2009 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

ourstageListening to the radio really doesn’t give you even a glimpse of the bands that are out there. Some of the best bands around get zero radio play! I get sick of hearing the same ‘ol, same ‘ol!

I found this site called Our Stage. You can browse bands there that you most likely have never heard of.  You can browse by category so it makes it a little easier to find something you like.  You can also rate the bands, leave comments and make playlists.  I had a lot of fun going through and rating bands and putting them in order of how I felt they ranked.

If you are in a band and want some more exposure, you need to go sign up! As a wife to a musician, I know how hard it can be to get your name out there and for people to hear you!  This is one more route to add to your resources.

One band I found on there is called Grumbleboat.  Grumbleboat is a punk/hardcore band from East London.  I really liked the song “I Skate Therefore I Am“.  Kickin’ it a little old school and brought back some youthful memories.

They also have some great giveaways going on that would be a benefit to any band to win!  OurStage offers a $5,000 monthly grand prize to the highest-ranking OurStage artist across all channels on the Music Stage.  This is a pretty great thing!  I will definitely be getting the J-man to submit their band to the site!

If your a music junkie you need to go check out OurStage – Discover New Music

I received monetary compensation to review Our Stage, all opinions are my own.

How to Make Halloween Healthier for You and Your Children

Make Halloween Healthier Halloween can be scary. Ghosts, ghouls, and goblins abound, but the most frightening part of Halloween might be how many calories our children bring home in their trick-or-treat bags. The candy in an average trick-or-treat bag can contain as much as 7,000 calories, according to Dr. Donna Arnett at the University of […]
