You have heard me whine about my teeth, my ruined teeth. Severe vomiting wrecked it’s toll, so I do everything I can to try to slow down the damage progression. Today I learned that nearly half of American adults also suffer from some form of periodontal (gum) disease and may not even know it. It is an early form of gum disease and is usually painless, but if left untreated, it can lead to even more serious oral health problems like the loss of soft tissue, bone and teeth. I am supposed to be getting a periodontal cleaning done soon. I’m a bit nervous, but I know it needs to be done.
