Lawry’s, What’s your Flavor? Giveaway!

Did you know that your choice of flavor says something about you?  According to a recent survey by Lawry’s it sure does!

A recent Lawry’s survey found that your choice of flavor says more about you than you think. The nationwide poll looked at preferences for tart, spicy, sweet, and savory flavors and found that your choice can reveal some interesting aspects of your personality.

Flavor is important to everyone!  No one likes bland food, well…atleast I assume that no one like bland food.  I can’t imagine enjoying something that had no real taste.

Lawry’s has always been a brand found in our home.  They have the best Seasoned Salt!  We use it on everything, especially fried potatoes!  It has just enough kick without being too spicy for others that don’t really enjoy spicy foods.  My girls love it on french fries.

Joyous Joiners – Tart Flavors

  • If you are one for tart flavors, you tend to be extremely happy overall, particularly with your family, finances, work/life balance and even your health. As a Joyous Joiners you are an extrovert who loves to entertain at home, find it very important to join in social events in your community and are active on the greatest number of social networking sites.

Self-Assured Adventurers – Spicy Flavors

  • If your preference is for spicy flavors, consider yourself a confident, adventurous individual with a passion for travel and cooking. Lawry’s sent me this awesome pack of goodies to try out.  There were some great new seasoning packs that have the recipes on the back.  So far I have made two of them and they were such huge hits with the family!  So quick and easy and the flavor was all in that little packet of Lawry’s Seasoning mixes.

The first thing I made was the Asian Style Beef & Broccoli.  This is something I normally make, but I tell you what..the seasoning packet made this so much tastier than my normal recipe!  It had a tiny kick to it and we loved it!  Look how pretty it is….mmmm

The next one we tried was the Chimichurri Burrito Casserole, OH MY GOODNESS!  This was so awesome!  The kids ate it and wanted more and more, I literally had to cut the little scavengers off!  They would have ate the whole dang thing!

The days that I made these meals I used the photos as part of my 365 project and everyone wanted the Chimichurri Burrito Casserole recipe!  So I am going to include that in this post for you!  mmmmmm…..

Lawry’s® Chimichurri Burrito Casserole Recipe

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Makes: 8 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 package Lawry’s® Chimichurri Burrito Casserole
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 8 flour tortillas (8-inch), warmed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix water, Seasoning Mix and tomato sauce until well blended.
  2. Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat. Stir in 1 cup of the sauce mixture and beans. Spoon about 1/2 cup meat mixture into each tortilla. Fold over sides. Place seam-side down in greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Spoon remaining sauce over burritos. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake 15 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.

    • Easy! So take some time back for you and try out these great products from Lawry’s to get great tasting food with hardly any effort!

      I like sweet like captain crunch chicken. I know sounds horrible but I always loved this at Planet Hollywood and I make it at home every few months (that is all my family will let me even though they love it)!

      I am a mild spicey person with a little sweet. When I make me hamburgers I must have a dash of garlic and finely chopped sweeted onions sauted in butter in them mixed in.

      I go for spicy with a hint of sweet. When I make buffalo wings or chicken, I always add either a squirt of honey or a spoonful of raspberry jam to the sauce.
