My husband has always wanted to learn to fly a plane. It was one of those ideas that you keep in your head, but never really get around to doing. Well, that is until of course it is gifted to you! Then you have no more excuses. It’s time! All you have to do is show up and do it.
So that’s what we are doing for him for Father’s Day! My husband will have one of his dreams happen. He will take his first flying lesson this Friday! I was so excited to tell him! I know this is probably one of the coolest gifts that the girls and I have been able to pull off for him.
So instead of getting your husband the same ‘ol thing, why not make something special happen for him. Something to remember for a lifetime! It is really much more affordable than you would think it would be.
Let’s Go Flying is a learn-to-fly outreach initiative sponsored by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Its website provides a wealth of information about learning to fly as well as a database of more than 3,500 flight schools nationwide, many of which offer discounted introductory flights at around $99. No more boring Father’s Day at our house! Daddy is going to fly!

I did this for my husband not once but twice 🙂 He would love to learn but honestly, a pilots license is out of the question and not in the budget. He loved his flights though, and it is a great idea!

What a cool Father’s Day present! My husband has mentioned recently that he would love to get a pilot’s license someday, maybe something like this could itch his scratch, or let him see if he truly wants to pursue it. Looking forward to the post about the lesson!
