KRAFT MilkBite Taste Test with the Kids!

02.09.2012 by Girl on Fire // 9 Comments

A granola bar that is found in the refrigerated dairy aisle? I thought that was a bit strange and had to check them out myself.  The KRAFT MilkBite bars have real milk in them, this is why they need to be refrigerated.  They also contain whole grain granola along with other healthy ingredients like fruit or roasted nuts.

The bars contain the same amount of calcium as an 8 oz. glass of milk.  They’re also a good source of vitamin D and fiber!  They also contain 5g of protein and 7g of whole grains!

They do not contain any artificial flavors, colors or preservatives!

They come in 5 flavors which are Chocolate, Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin and Mixed Berry.  We tried the Chocolate and the Strawberry as pictured above.

The task was to purchase 2 other brands of granola bars that we normally eat and have a taste test with the family.  So we went to Walmart and purchased our typical choice for granola bars.  You can see that below.

Next I cut them all up into pieces so that each of us could try them all.

The bars shown closer to the bottom of the photo are the MilkBite pieces.  Chocolate and Strawberry.  The taste test was fun and though for sure that the little girls would choose the S’mores as their favorite since I knew that they loved that kind.  I was surprised though!  The little girls chose the Strawberry MilkBite bar as their favorite!  Morgan and I ended up loving the Chocolate MilkBite bar as our favorite!

I love that they are cold and they are easy to eat.  My teeth are not in the best shape and I had no issues biting into these bars.

So even though we chose different flavors, the MilkBite Bars won hands down in our home!  Maybe you should have your own taste test?

KRAFT MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars can be found in the refrigerated dairy aisle for a suggested retail price of $3.49.  Will be in stores  February 13th!

For more information about KRAFT MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars, visit MILKBITE.com.

I received samples of the chocolate and strawberry KRAFT MilkBite Bars pictured above.  I also received a Walmart GiftCard to purchase the other brands for the taste test.  No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

These look like they’d be great for my husband to take to work for breakfast! He goes in so early he doesn’t like to eat before he leaves for work.
