Kia was kind enough to let me drive another of their fantastic cars. While the Kia Rio is not as fancy as the Optima, it is still a nice little car.
A bit smaller than I like for my family, but we were all able to fit in without too much yelling from the back seat about someone touching the other. No eyes were gouged, no hair was pulled…I think that counts for something.
The trunk was quite roomy as well and held everything we needed it for.
No air conditioned seats, which made Morgan sad…who knows why since she has Cold Urticaria…teenagers are strange. But I was happy that it came with the back up camera as well as those awesome heated seats.
I really wish I had a back up camera in my own car. It really makes me feel more confident backing up, since I can truly see all that is behind me.
I really liked the appearance of the car, it had a nice body shape. I had many of my neighbors asking about it and commenting on it’s striking good looks.
It also had satellite radio, built in GPS and many more features that to me are a luxury, but here they are in an affordable car. I don’t think you can go wrong with these new Kia’s. The gas mileage was fantastic, but not nearly as fantastic as the Optima hybrid.
Do you have a Kia? Check out the rest of my Kia Rio photos in my Kia flickr set. The Kia Rio is affordable too! Starting at only $13, 600!
I drove the Kia Rio for a week, no compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
