Well, then you are at the right place!  Tonight I had an awesome email waiting in my inbox…inside that email was great news for myself and a lucky reader!  The Kenny Chesney concert is headed to our area!  On May 11 at Cowboys Stadium you can witness a great showing of musical talent!

Tonight I learned some things about Mr. Chesney.  Somethings that tugged my heart and made me smile.  Kenny Chesney has set up a fund called “Spread the Love Fund” to benefit the Boston Medical Center.  He is working with BMC to help those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.  Not only is he making a sizable donation for seed money, but all of Chesney’s proceeds from the downloaded iTunes single sales of “Spread the Love,”  will go to the fund.  The fund will benefit post-acute care for victims of traumatic injuries from the Boston Marathon bombings at BMC and other Boston hospitals.

“It’s hard to imagine a world where taking your children to school, going to the movies or witnessing something as iconic as the Boston Marathon is a dangerous thing to do,” Chesney says. “For me, I want to help give these people as much of their lives back as possible, but I’d also like to counteract some of the negativity in the world… Remind people that there are more good people out there, and it’s up to us to ‘Spread the Love.”

I don’t know about you, but that gives me faith in people.  I have read some great things about some giving people today and it’s awesome to hear something amazing and kind instead of the negative.  Beyond downloading “Spread the Love,” giving to those in need is as simple as a click.  Read the official press release here.

Ok, so now what about this here concert?  Well let me tell ya about it!  Kenny Chesney’s “No Shoes Nation” Tour has 27 dates booked and several shows are approaching sell outs!  ‘No Shoes Nation’ marks 20 years of touring for him.  Billboard has even declared him as “The biggest ticket seller in country music and among the elite touring artists in the world.”

I like country music, but have never been to a BIG country music concert and I am super excited to go see the CMT and AMA Artist of the Year, a four-time CMA Entertainer of the Year, and a four-time ACM Entertainer of the Year.  I couldn’t think of a better first for me.  I am an avid concert goer and I have a feeling this will probably be one of the biggest shows I have ever attended.  I may need someone to hold my hand.  Tracy, keep me safe…??

Not only will I be seeing Kenny Chesney but also preforming on this tour are Eric Church, the Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves.
