What is stress?

- Paying attention to how your body responds to stress can help you to minimize it. If you find that you are less energetic when you’re stressed, you have the power to counteract your low energy levels. The more you spend time observing your reactions to stress, the better you will be at catching it sooner and doing something about it.
- Talk to your doctor or mental health provider about how you are feeling. Getting their advice on how you can better manage your stress and your responses to it can also help you minimize the negative effects.
Although stress is something we all experience, the ways in which we handle it are vastly different. This difference in how we handle stress will make a big difference in how it affects your aging process. Meditation, exercise and rest are just some tools you have to beat the clock and reduce your stress.
