Inspiring Books for the New Year!

12.25.2012 by Girl on Fire // 1 Comment

I love to read!  Lately I have been reading a lot of books about simplifying life, minimalism, frugality and much more back to basic type stuff.  Here are some of my favorites so far…

Dollar a Day Challenge This book was a very quick read.   It’s about a woman that took a challenge to eat on less than $1.00 a day.  She ate good and she ate healthy.  She included what she ate for every meal and snacks through out the 30 day challenge.  Very cool!  She also lost weight since she was only eating good wholesome foods!  Therefore proving that you can eat healthy without breaking the bank!  Man, I can not wait til I move and can have a garden again.  I may just have to go plant one somewhere else for now.

You Can Buy Happiness (and It’s Cheap): How One Woman Radically Simplified Her Life and How You Can Too Do you want to be happier with your life? Read this book and get inspired.

There are more books that I need to share, I’ll have to look them up on my kindle and post them in another post.  Until then…Merry Christmas!  Hope you all have a nice fresh start this New Years!!!

Sounds like a book we all need to read! Too many people are stuck in the fast food mode. Gardening is a rewarding exercise and everything taste so much better, especially when you can stand back and say “Yes, I did this” 🙂
