If Only all the Dads Would Participate…

10.17.2011 by Girl on Fire // 23 Comments

This could be the change we need!  If all dads of boys would participate for a week, I bet we could knock out this behaviour pretty quickly!

I hate seeing someones underwear! I hate my that my girls are subjected to seeing this sort of thing when we leave our home. I would be down however, for seeing some dads do it for a few weeks so that maybe these kids would move on to a different fad. Hasn’t this been going on too many years already?

Not too long ago my daughters and I were walking out to our car. There was a family in front of us and the DAD was sagging. He was sagging and his boxers underneath wear all ripped up and my girls could see his hairy butt. I was so disgusted that I got a bit verbal. People are sick and don’t care who they are exposed to.

Yes! And it is such a ridiculous look. My ‘favorite’ is the boys who wear the skinny jeans sagging…really?

I can guarantee you my husband would do that if Reece started wearing his pants like that…hahhah and I would video tape it! HA!

On a more serious note though…I wish more dads would do something like this…It is so disgusting to see kids with their pants practically at their ankles…you think I care you wear plaid boxers??!!

Perhaps if every time we saw some ignorant punk wearing his pants like that we asked them if they were homosexual advertising their availability for anal sex it would lose its appeal.

It has worked for me in the past. Yes, they resented it, so what?

Like wearing their caps backward. I’ve told then it looks cute until they are 4 or 5. After that, it just looks like they are too stupid to know which way their cap goes on.

As Oscar Wilde said, “Fashion, a form of ugliness so severe, we must change it every six months.”

Sideways and backwards hats drive me crazy too! That is one of my husbands biggest pet peeves! He gets angry when he sees it!

I understand how he feels. There’s something about willful stupidity that I have never learned to accept.

But I do laugh when I see the backward caps. Isn’t it amazing how people will accept anything if some they don’t know and doesn’t care about them says it’s “kewl”?

Wait, you know what’s even more hilarious? You know that the skinny jeans are in now too, right? So these guys are wearing skinny jeans but still wearing them half way down their butt. Now THAT is funny… I wonder if they ever realize how stupid they look like that? LOL

What makes someone a ‘young punk’ by wearing their clothes however they want. I’m not saying sagging is right or wrong, but just because someone follows a certain fashion trend doesn’t mean they are hardened criminals or bad people. Maybe that kid was on his way to see his grandmother in the nursing home and couldn’t find his belt in time to catch the bus. Stop hating on things you don’t understand. When that kid with the sagging pants robs you or flips you off, than he’s a punk.
