I Took the Truvia Swap Out Your Sweetener (SOYS) Challenge! #maptruvia

10.11.2010 by Girl on Fire // 4 Comments

As of yesterday I am participating in the Truvia, Swap Out Your Sweetener Challenge with Collective Bias!  This is also referred to as SOYS for short.

For 30 days I am to swap my normal sweetener out with Truvia.  So far I am using it in my coffee which I pretty much drink all day, every day.

For the longest time I was afraid of artificial sweeteners…then I became diabetic while pregnant with my first child and I started indulging in some artificially sweetened items.  Child #2 and #3 also brought on gestational diabetes.  I’m hypoglycemic and I guess pregnancy just pushed my already out of whack sugar over the edge.

So lately I had switched to another artificial sweetener again, but it concerned me.  Every morning when I added it to my coffee it would sizzle in this weird way.  You could hear it.  That’s not normal right?

Yesterday I made my coffee with Truvia and there was not any strangeness.  It actually tasted a bit more like real sugar than my former brand.  Guess what…it did NOT sizzle!  It stirred in and dissolved like real sugar.

I would love for you to join the challenge too!  You can also get a free sample of Truvia!

I was sent Truvia for an entire month’s sweetener needs (both a 40-ct carton of individual packets and one spoonables container) by Collective Bias.  All opinions are my own.

You should. this one was a lot easier to get used to the flavor. After a few days you can’t even tell the difference!
