I Hate Cleaning the Tub

02.19.2013 by Girl on Fire // 3 Comments

This post brought to you by CLR. All opinions are 100% mine.

Like seriously hate in capitol letters.  HATE.  It is most definitely the most labor intensive chore in my opinion.  Scrubbing, bending over, water everywhere, soaked shirts, sore knees.  It sucks.

We tend to get rust stains in the tub and it is a pain to clean.  Also, the soap build up that happens very quickly if you are not on top of cleaning it.  Or if you hate it so much you happen to put it off until you can not put it off any longer.

Oh, lets not forget about the buildup that happens in the shower heads.  This happens a lot more at this house than any other house I have lived in.  Thankfully CLR, Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover, clears that up right away

I have not yet tried the CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner and I really need to see how it does on those rust stains in the tub.  Since the other CLR product we use works so great, I have a great feeling that this will as well.

CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner is said to be fast acting and powerful, cleans quickly and effectively, makes cleaning dirt, soap scum, calcium, lime and hard water stains easier.

I was really happy to read that it has the Environmental Protection Agency's "DfE" designation.  This means that it's safer chemistry is not harmful for my family.

What is your most dreaded cleaning chore?  What is your favorite chore?  I honestly like to do laundry!

I hate grocery shopping. Or any kind of shopping, really.

I just cleaned our showerhead by soaking it in warm-hot vinegar. Worked like a champ!

I’ll have to try some CLR for the tub though – it is NOT fun to try to clean that, for sure!

I don’t mind cleaning the tub, but I just bought a scrubby thingy with a handle so there is a lot less bending over! Though I will say, I hate the fact that we don’t have a removable shower head in my kids bathroom…THAT is the hardest part about the tub.

I like to do laundry, but hate to put it away.
