I Attended The Holiday Taste of Sam’s!

11.20.2009 by Girl on Fire // 9 Comments

sams 018Today was the first day of The Holiday Taste of Sam’s. What a great opportunity to try out all the holiday favorites offered at Sam’s.  I loaded up all 3 girls and we hit Sam’s Club!  There were so many delish samples out to try!  In the photo above, Morgan was sampling the Ham with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy.  Emma stole the ham!

sams 021The main thing I wanted to try was the Mongiello’s Prosciutto Basil Mozzarella Roll, OH MY GOODNESS…yum!  It was even better than I imagined it would be and is now definitely on my list for the Holidays!  I think I may get it to take as an appetizer when we have Thanksgiving at my Sister in laws house.

Mozzarella wrapped up with Prosciutto…I had never had it and now I love it!  I love being able to sample things before buying.  This is one of those things I always wanted to try, but didn’t want to buy it without knowing how it actually tasted.  Now that I know…watch out!sams 019

I was also really happy to try some Gluten Free Crackers.  My mom can not have Gluten and I was excited to see this out as a sample!  Mom, if you haven’t tried these, they were really good! Super crunchy.  The kids even liked them!  The brand was Crunchmaster! They had a lot more flavor than some of the other Gluten Free crackers I have tried.

sams 016Lauren’s favorite food that she tried was the Cinnamon Rolls!  They were good!  I wish they would have given us a whole one!  This is something I would buy on a regular basis for Sunday breakfast.  Everyone loves a cinnamon roll!  Ewwwy gooooey yummmy cinnamon rolls!  Hmm, I bet they would be perfect for Christmas morning too!

There was so much to try!  Some other things were Hot Wings, Cheesecake, Sparkling Cider, Hot Chocolate, Green bean Casserole and more!  You can see some more photos of the foods by searching twitter #samsholidays.  In case you are not following me, I am @stitchblade.

I was afraid to try the mozzarella roll thing. I tried to get my son to try it (I’m THAT kind of mom) but he wouldn’t.

My kids liked the Gluten free crackers too!

I’m taking my husband tomorrow. When I saw the Mongiello’s Prosciutto Basil Mozzarella Roll, I thought it would be a great appetizer for Thanksgiving. I think I’m going to get one. Looks like y’all had a great time.

I hope they have them here at our Sam’s. The price is alot less than I pay for the one and only brand I can get here. I am going to the website now to see if they have them so I can grab a bunch this weekend before everyone else snatches them. It is hard to find gluten free/dairy and nut free foods that do not taste horrible. I found one snack bar to carry for those days when I go to work, run home, get dad, take him to the doc, been up since 4:30am and now it is 4:30pm and I am starving, no lunch no nothing so I can now pull out my chocolate chalk bar. yummy and I do mean it taste like chalk smells! But, its nourishment. lol

I hope so too! That is why I took a pic of the box so you would know what it was called, I would have forgotten otherwise!

Sometimes on the weekends we’ll go shoppin’ at ….err….ummmm….a Sam’s like store and the girl will ask what we’re havin’ for lunch while were out. I always tell her we’re eatin’ samples for lunch.
