How This Mama Get’s a Night Out Once in Awhile!

12.16.2009 by Girl on Fire // 1 Comment

restaurantThe JuiceBox widget on my sidebar is begging me to go out to dinner (and the deals from Restaurant.com, who is sponsoring this post, are tempting as well). During the holidays, we don’t get out anywhere near enough, but here’s what we do love to do…

I swap babysitting with my sister in law! She has two children and is a single mom.  During the weekdays she is a childcare provider and that gives her more kids than just her own to take care of.  She is usually dying for a night off just to even relax alone.  I usually hit her up offering to watch her children overnight in exchange for watching mine.  This way neither one of us has to spend money on a sitter and we can both have a much needed break!

The J-man’s Grandmother is available sometimes for watching the girls too for a few hours.  Long enough for dinner and a movie, so we do this when we can.  I try not to ask too much, I don’t want to wear the option out, which is very easy to do.  No one wants your kids all the time!

It is super important for moms and dads to get some time out alone. Super important! You need to have that time to relax and just be with each other, it makes a world of difference!

Even if it’s just having dinner on the patio after the kids are in bed, it’s so nice to share that completely uninterrupted time together!

American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists

I have Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a common gynecological condition among American women of all ages, races and backgrounds. It is more common in women in their 20’s and 30’s, but I was diagnosed when I was just a child. When I was about 13 I had my first surgery to remove some of the cysts […]
