My life is more than busy. I can’t even remember the last time that I did NOT have to leave the house. I don’t even have time to form a complete thought in mind. I start thinking about one thing I need to do and before it’s even completely thought about, I am on to the next thought. I look like a chicken with it’s head cut off. Easter is on the way, along with all of the girls birthdays! I am so glad that HoneyBaked Ham is right down the road!
You know, I had never tried anything from HoneyBaked Ham before. I had never even been in one of the stores! I went to the Lewisville, Texas location and I was kind of wandering around… looking lost (this is common for me). I had no idea what I should be purchasing. I was so thankful for the SUPER awesome employees that were working that day. They were so friendly and totally on it! I knew how much money I had to spend and they helped me get the most for that money!
They had an awesome deal that covered both Ham and Turkey. I don’t eat ham, but the rest of my family LOVES it. I’m a Turkey girl! So when they said I didn’t have to choose..whoa, that made my life a whole lot more simple! For $54.99 I was able to pick up a special they have that is Ham and Turkey! ($54.99 Easter Ham & Turkey Combo – Pair a Turkey Breast, approx. 3 lbs. with your choice of a Boneless Ham, approx. 3.5 lbs. or Quarter Ham, approx. 4.5 lbs.). Then I was able to pick up 3 of the Freezer Sides for $18.99! I even made a $1 donation to Feeding America and still came in under my $75 budget at only $74.98! Score! Food for days and no cooking!
For my sides I stuck with traditional items I would cook for my family so we could see how they hold up to our homemade sides. These included Green Bean Casserole, Sweet Potato Soufflé and Garlic Mashed Potatoes.
Green Bean Casserole

I only have one child that loves Green Bean Casserole and that is Emma. Jeremy and I like it as well. Now I have to be honest and say that Emma was not in to this at all. It wasn’t the tried and true recipe that we stick with and it wasn’t for her. Now, Jeremy and I liked it. It was different than mine, but it was still good! The green beans were actually crisp and fresh tasting!
Garlic Mashed Potatoes

I really enjoyed these! Jeremy and the kids as well! Nice and creamy!
Sweet Potato Soufflé

My photo does not do this justice! I am not a food photographer and my kids were starving to death! This was by far the best side! Loved it! Everyone did, I didn’t even get to get seconds and I’m a little upset about that! Everyone is grounded!
Ham

Like I said before, I don’t eat ham except those little honey ham things rolled up with the cream cheese and onion. I’ll eat a ton of those. My family insists on ham at every holiday though because they prefer it over turkey. This ham smelled great! The thick glaze looked so delicious. The ham is history and there are no leftovers. Not even one little piece.
Turkey

Now here is where I get happy! The turkey had that same wonderful glaze on it! Whoa! That is the best turkey I have ever had! It was moist too! I do not think I will ever cook one myself again! There is some of this left and as soon as I finish this post, I’m getting some. Drooooool!!!!

I don’t know about you, but this mama needed this break from cooking! It gives me more time to just enjoy hanging out with my family! Make sure you grab these great HoneyBaked Ham coupons. Also, be sure to become a VIP at HoneyBakedFoods.com for exclusive savings all year long!

This looks AHH-MAZING!!!
This would be great for those birthdays coming up, something to have at my house since, well face it, I have no time to cook either but would love to feed you all when you come over.
NICE!! Do you know I’ve never been in one of their stores either?? The food looks amazing. How perfect for Easter! I live for cooking, but sometimes this mama wants to kick back and enjoy the actual festivities!
Thanks for sharing. For that price, it may be the route to go this year.
