Earn your high school diploma online
High school wasn’t my favorite part of life. Like most kids, the teenage years aren’t the most glamorous of times. Peer pressure, bullying, social awkwardness, acne (one of the many great parts of growing up!), relationships, homework, and mean teachers might come to mind when you think of your own high school experience.
Nowadays, high school doesn’t have to include most of that stuff. Kids can earn their high school diploma online, which is something that didn’t even exist when I was younger.
Our high school allowed us to choose from two languages (I think it was Spanish and French) and a handful of electives, including classics such as shop class, auto class, home economics, choir, and art.
To be honest, even as a creative person, none of those things really got my attention, but since you HAD to choose one of them, I chose Spanish as my language and art and choir as some of my electives. I wished there had been more variety, but that’s all they were staffed to teach.

The education industry is often ancient in their thinking and slow to adapt to changes. Despite this, improvements in technology are making online classes and distant learning education a more convenient option for people. Just in the past decade several non-profit organizations have opened to give kids k-12th grade another option for those that don’t fit in the traditional standard.

I always disliked fast-past classrooms. I learn at my own pace, like we all do and I feel it is so important to not be rushed, especially when it comes to education! Since the courses are self-paced, students can spend extra time when they need to, to really understand and master each lesson they are doing. Plus, families will have the flexibility to plan for study times to fit schedules. This is especially nice when you have a busy family and need to plan ahead.
Students can create a high school education plan that includes their interests and potential career choices. Students can choose their education plan before they select their classes. This helps to provide direction and offers recommendations to help the student achieve their goals. It gives some much-needed structure for the student to follow.

What Is The Difference Between Standard And Honors Pathway?

It’s 2019 and education is changing for the better. Just like kids have thousands of choices for clothing, phones, or food, they now have tons of options for school. Speaking of clothes- they all fit differently on different kids. Education is a lot like that.
