Hey, I Don’t Have Cancer!

06.01.2010 by Girl on Fire // 10 Comments

I know I said I would blog the next day about the rest of the surgery and all of that.  But I have been in such a fog.  Trying to catch up on responsibilities and just getting better.  I had thought that getting this mass removed might take a way all of the other issues I have been having for the past year.  I was wrong.

Last week I went to my check up and was told that I did not have cancer!!! Thank you all so much for the prayers and well wishes!  Those were some of the best words ever spoken to me!  That feeling was awesome!  I can not even describe hoe great it felt.  The weight that was lifted!

I also can not even begin to express how awesome the online community has been in supporting me! People have sent me donations to help with the surgery as well as helping me with the ongoing medical expenses.  We still don’t have it all figured out.  The Tumor was just one part of this puzzle.  I am most definitely my own episode of House.  As I weened myself down to just taking painpills at night, I realized my arm pain was as intense as ever.  Then since I had weened off of the Amitriptylin, the headaches and head jerking returned as well.

I’ve talked to the PA for my Rheumatologist and they want me to come in as soon as I am up to it.  I need to have labs run again to see what has changed since having the tumor removed.  Have my sed rates went up?  Did they go down…???  There is a lot to check out.  They really want to figure this out!  I have great doctors now!  Expensive, but great!

I will continue to share info with you all as I go through this.  I know there is more I need to share about surgery and stuff.  I’ll get there!  Shan at Last Shreds of Sanity has a funny post up that has a recount of her conversation to me while I was hallucinating on Ambien the night before surgery….you should go read it!

Oh! One more thing! Could you vote daily for me in this photo contest? I entered my Frankenbelly! This would be amazing for us to win! Vote for my “I need a vacation” look labeled as Brandy A, You could win a Flip Ultra camcorder just for voting.

I hope they get the rest figured out. I feel like they will. The tumor may answer a lot of questions for them and solve some issues. I continue to pray for you and your healing. You’re such a trooper! ~Hugs~

I’m glad to hear it and I hope they figure out what is going on with you! I have migraines and stuff and go through tests but they have found no reason for them, so even though it’s not exactly what you’re going through, I do know a little bit about it! Praying for you! Stay strong!
