Get the New Year Started Right with a Healthy New Years Resolution!
It’s that time of year, where we all make our healthy New Years resolution. 2016 is right around the corner and I am sure we could all use some healthy New Years tips to get us started on the right path. Taking care of yourself is very important. You can not take care of others properly without taking care of YOU!

Ways to be Healthy in the New Year
Here are some different ways to be healthy in the new year. To have a healthy new year, new you, you need to have a plan. What is your goal? Figure that out and write it down. If your goal is to lose a certain number of pounds, pick a date to meet that goal. Now divide your goal by the number of weeks until your target date. This will give you your weekly goal. Instead of focusing on the 20 lbs that you want to lose in 4 months, now you can just focus on the short term goals. Focusing on a healthy 1.25 lbs per week for 16 weeks will get you to that 20 lb goal in your 4 mo.
Diets are Temporary Fixes
Diets are like a band-aid for the real problem. The real problem is that a lot of us (including me) make really bad food choices. We eat so much processed and fake food that our bodies don’t know what to do! We need to keep it simple and get back to basics. I used to do really well when I ate Raw. That is my focus for this new year….again. But I am more determined this year. My health depends on it. So if your goal is truly getting healthy in the new year, then do that. Don’t diet, just get healthy.
Get Moving!
I’m sick. I have RSD and it really is an effort to just maintain somewhat normal activity. It hurts and I have to push to just get out of bed. but it is necessary. Instead of feeling like I am failing on my bad days, I chose to focus on what I do accomplish. Anything is better than nothing. Stay positive and do what you can.
Making Healthy New Year Resolutions
Be realistic, making healthy New Year resolutions is a start. But you are not doing yourself any favors by setting unreachable or unrealistic goals. Small goals for long-term success. Unreachable goals will lead to failure and upset.
