Dr. Fresh® Sponsors Fourth Annual Toothbrush Design Contest In Honor Of February’s National Children’s Dental Health Month
Dr. Fresh, the Buena Park, California-based company known for its FireFly™ toothbrushes that light up and flash to encourage thorough brushing, is challenging kids to come up with the ultimate kid-friendly toothbrush, one that is not only easy, but fun to use.
Kids in second through fifth grades are being asked to submit a drawing of their fantasy toothbrush and briefly explain why they think it will appeal to other kids. www.drfresh.com
The first prize winner and a parent or guardian will receive a trip to Buena Park, California, where they will visit the Dr. Fresh headquarters, as well as enjoy a day at the nearby Disneyland Resort. The winner will also receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond, while two runners up will each receive a $250 U.S. Savings bonds. Each contest entrant will also receive a complimentary Dr. Fresh FireFly toothbrush.
“Kids have the brightest ideas when it comes to motivating other kids to brush their teeth,” says Dr. Fresh. “Their toothbrush ideas get more creative all the time, and our team really looks forward to reviewing them each year.”
To enter, children should submit an original drawing of their toothbrush design, accompanied by a brief written description (100 words or less) on why they think kids would like to use this toothbrush. All media – paints, crayons, chalk, pencils, markers – accepted. Judges will be looking for originality, creativity and motivational appeal. No licensed (e.g. cartoon) characters may be used, and all work must be the entrant’s own. No purchase necessary. Entries must be original, and be accompanied by an official contest entry form or reasonable facsimile thereof. Contest entries can be mailed to Hazmat Media (address) and must be postmarked by January 24, 2010.
