Last month I told you about this amazing store called Market Street. I had never been before that day and I ended up roaming the store for hours. I’m not kidding. So right now Market Street is celebrating Hatch Chile Month. Did you know that August is Hatch Chile Month? Did you know there was a Hatch Chile month? I sure didn’t. I do now though and so do you (the power of social media!). I did notice that my girl Candy was posting Hatch Chile photos today and had been out specifically to get some. I wonder what she is making me????
Anyhow, Market Street is celebrating! Whooooo hooooo I love to party! Right now they have roastings, recipes, special Hatch products and more. Official roasting dates are August 16-17 and 23-24. Most of the stores will be roasting every weekend in August. Stores will be sampling special Hatch Chile products each weekend as well (Candy, want to go?).
If you purchase fresh Hatch chile at Market Street on those roasting days, they will roast those bad boys for free!

OH, I have a little bit of insider info I wanted to share with you guys. Have you heard of Cotton Candy Grapes? I had heard of them before, but I have never tried them. I was worried that they were something genetically modified, but guess what? They are not! Cotton Candy Grapes and other innovative varieties from Grapery are selectively bred naturally over time. They are not artificially modified at the genetic level. They are also free of additives and flavor infusions. Market Street will have these grapes in store starting 8/22 through 9/5 while supplies last. I must get some!

I did not know there was a Hatch Chile Month, nor did I know there were such a thing as cotton candy grapes. There are a lot of yummy recipes on the Pinterest board. The Hatch Chile Chorizo Breakfast Pie, Mexican Lasagna and cornbread are ones I really want to try.
