Grandparents Day September 13th

Grandparents Day is this coming Sunday! I have been made aware of a great site called Grandparents.com and they have tons to offer!  It is a community for grandparents.  There are ideas for things to do, places to see, advice, crafts, etc.  Grandparents can make a profile and have fun in this community that is dedicated just to them!

One awesome thing they offer is YourVoice! You simply use your home phone, have your children leave a voice recording and it emails it to their grandparents!  Best part…It’s FREE! I wanted to let you know about it now so that you can record something special for Grandparents day.  They can listen to it as often as they want!

Some Ideas of what to say:

  • Say a simple “I love you.”
  • Sing a song that will make Someone smile
  • Tell a story about when you were a child
  • Read a favorite children’s book aloud
  • Make something up as you go along!

Imagine the smile they will have when they get a recorded message from their grandchildren in their inbox!  I’m always on the look out for free activities and I know many of you are too.  If you do it, leave me a comment and let me know!

Click here to listen to our first message!

What an awesome idea! The girls are probably a lil too young for me to get em talking but I hope they keep this going!

WOW, my 5 year old Son soon to be 6 just loves leaving messages on my parents (his Grandparents) voicemail. This is a great idea, and I so forgot about Grandparents Day, thanks for the reminder. And off to Hallmark we go looking for a card tomorrow after I pick him up at school.

I had no idea it was Grandparent’s Day on the 13th. What a fun idea! I will have to have my boys try it. Thanks for the tidbit!

Eat Your Vegetables, Eat Snikiddy! #Giveaway #GlutenFree

I know some of you have a hard time getting your kids to eat healthy things.  Thankfully, my kids love fruits and vegetables! But when you kid totally despises such things, you have to get more creative.  You can do this by sneaking in vegetables and fruits to other things you make.  Like a meatloaf, […]
