Get Out and Play!

10.31.2010 by Girl on Fire // 1 Comment

We spend as much time outside as we can.  When the weather is nice we can even be found laying on a blanket in our front yard doing school.  Now that the weather has cooled down we are spending more time outside.  More time running, more time laying in the grass and rolling down the small hill in the front.

I used to stress about what clothes the girls wore outside to play, but with products like Shout we don’t have to really worry about it.  Grass stain…who cares.  Food stain from our picnic…who cares.  Just Shout those buggers out.  Spend less time worrying about it and enjoy your outdoor play time with the kids.

Shout is encouraging parents to spend more time out playing with the kids.  It’s so nice to just turn off the computers, the TV’s and head outside!  Do what we do and spread a big blanket in the yard and lay looking at the sky, looking under rocks for bugs, collecting leafs, having a picnic, rolling down a hill and so much more.  Do you need more ideas?  Head on over to the Shout Facebook page and click on the Go Play tab!

Lately we have been making the most of our time outdoors by using the 52 Nature Activities card set that I received from Shout.  The deck is filled with 52 games, activities and art projects for children to do in nature.  They are educational and fun.  It has kicked up our play with tons of ideas so we can do different things each day.

You can add even more to your playtime by adding some learning toys to your outdoor stash!  Educational toys can lend so much more to your playtime.  Sparking imagination is one of the best ways to get your kids brains working!  The learning is a bonus to the fun!

So, like I said…quit worrying about the clothes.  Life is to short to waste time worrying about that.  Keep in mind that there are products out there to take care of it all in the end.

Be a Go Play Mom like me!  Take it outside and bring the fun up a notch!

Shout knows play is so much more than fun and games. Studies show that unstructured play helps kids build fundamental skills like problem solving, coping, and conflict resolution. In other words: play is how kids become happy, healthy adults. Fall has arrived with crisp, cool air and new reasons to go out and play. So, let your kids take that rewarding jump into a pile of leaves. Take at trip to the park and watch their imaginations run free. The one thing you won’t do is worry about their clothes; play should get messy and Shout can help.

I was sent products from Shout to facilitate my participation in the Go Play Mom campaign. No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

Yesterday my daughter changed her clothes four times, I think. It’s like everytime she gets a little wet she needs to change.
    Laundry never ends. lol.
