A lot of people ask me what I use to build graphics and edit photos. I happen to use two programs that can be a bit pricey. There are however some free programs available to you online! Everyone loves free! Well, I know I do!
The first one is a program called Gimp. You can use it for things such as photo editing, graphics building to even animation! You can download Gimp by clicking here. I know a lot of people that use and love this program! You have the option so save as many different file extensions as well as create in layers…just like Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.
If you don’t want to download anything, then check out Picnik. Morgan has a netbook so we are trying not to overload it with program installs. I suggested she try Picnik since it is used online in a browser. No downloads on this one! This is great for editing photos. Oh and it’s free!
One of my favorite places to play around online is called BeFunky. BeFunky is a free photo manipulator! You can do a lot of awesome stuff here. It is online, no downloads. This one requires no artistic skill. You pick the effect and it does it for you. I can bet this will quickly become one of your favorite sites!

I used to use Paint.net . It wasn’t too bad. I now use PaintShop Pro X for the most part. I got it through a free offer, but it is pretty cheap, since the newer X2 came out.
