Florida Watch Out! Here Comes Brandcation!

10.28.2010 by Girl on Fire // 6 Comments

Wow, it’s almost time for Brandcation!  Next week about 30 bloggers, including myself will be invading Kissimmee Florida!

Brandcation is all about adventure!  I am so excited to be able to do somethings I have never done before!  It will be non stop excitement and I truly need it!  It all starts on Thursday, November 4th when I arrive at a beautiful house provided by Global Resort Homes.  Yep, no hotel room for us, we are being put up in a beautiful home!

Since 1993, Global Resort Homes has been recognized as a trusted and reputable vacation rental management company in Orlando, serving the Central Florida community around Disney World.

The home I will be staying in is a brand new in 2010 home!  It has five bedrooms, five bath rooms and is a 3,000 square foot home! There is a pool and a game room that has a pool table, air hockey, and x-box 360 gaming system on a 47″ screen.  The kitchen even comes with top of the line cookware and extras.

Seriously….just check out this photo…

So stoked!  So the party gets started on Friday morning.  Friday morning I will be flying high through the skies at Florida EcoSafaries!  This is going to be incredible!  Florida EcoSafaries is a 4700 acre eco-ranch and wildlife conservation area. It has wilderness, natural streams, wetlands and dense cypress forests.  You’re wondering what I meant by “flying high through the skies” right?  Well the tour I am taking is the Zipline Safari!  I have never in my life been on a zipline and I am sooooo excited about this!  Awesome fact about this place….

30% of all Safari revenues go to support the Allen Broussard Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the fragile ecosystems of Florida’s native wilderness.

After that it is back to our beautiful Global Resort home to get ready for our next event which is a presentation by Eversave.  Eversave helps you get the best For less! Save 50% – 90% at the best places to shop, eat, see and do in your own neighborhood. New places featured every day. Try it today!

After that is a Sleuths Mystery Dinner!  I am so excited about all of these events.  A murder mystery dinner?  FUN!  We get a delicious dinner and dessert with unlimited beer (woohooo!), wine and soft drinks while we watch the show!

Then rest…..until the next morning which is also packed with fun and adventure!

Saturday starts off with us taking a Boggy Creek Airboat Ride!  We’ll be cruising through the wetlands on a beautiful Florida wildlife tour.  The airboat tours start down a natural canal where you can view exotic birds (I’ll try not to have a panic attack, birds scare the crap out me!), turtles and the Florida alligator in their own natural environment.  After a leisurely cruise we will fly into the swamps traveling up to 45 miles per hour.  Awesome!

After that it’s off to Gatorland!  Gatorland is a 110-acre theme park and nature conservatory!  They have thousands of alligators & crocodiles, an aviary, breeding marsh with observation tower, petting zoo, nature walk, award-winning gift shop and one-of-a-kind reptilian shows including the Gator Wrestlin’ Show, Gator Jumparoo and the Up-close Encounters Show.  Exciting!!!!

After all that adventure we’re going to be hungry!  We’re headed to Arabian Nights for an entertaining night!  Arabian Nights is a Dinner show that features riders and acrobats performing with more than 60 horses, including Walter Farley’s Black Stallion.  Add in some tasty food and that is quite a night and a nice way to end a busy fun filled day.

Back to the houses to sleep…maybe…

Sunday will be my last day in Florida and I will be spending part of it at Disney World!  I have only been one time before and I was probably about 4 years old.  I had to keep this part secret from the kids for fear of a beat down…  I am totally looking forward to this, all the events actually!  Only a few more days left!

Special Thank you’s to the following:

  • Kissimmee Guest Services and  Kissimmee Visitors Bureau for assisting with planning.
  • Sam’s Club (I love you) for providing food and snacks for the houses.
  • Sounds For Fun Karaoke Store for providing in house Karoake machine’s.
  • Anytime Costumes for providing Lei’s and grass skirts.
  • Eversave for gift baskets in the houses.
  • UPrinting for the event banner.

Can’t wait to meet some of my online friends and fellow bloggers!  Thanks to everyone that put time into planning this awesome event!
