Over at iHeartFaces they host a weekly meme called Fix It Friday. They happen to be on number 86 right now and I am just now participating? Dang…I love to edit photos so this is a fun challenge for me and I should probably be doing this a bit more often.
The photo the started with is of a beautiful little redhead! I love redheaded people! The photo was taken by a lady named Rachel, if I knew who Rachel was I would link you to her, but I didn’t see that information in the post. This is all I know…
She wrote: I took these photos for fun since I had my lights and paper out. This one is under exposed and the color is pretty off. I loved her pose and expression – so I suspected that deep down it was a keeper.
Photo Details: Canon 5D, 24-70 2.8L lens at f/9, 70mm, ISO 50, 160th. Alien Bees 800 at 1/8th power.
I think this was a pretty easy edit, pretty child, nice shot…simple to edit! I really didn’t have to do very much. I brightened and toned the photo, popped the colors a little bit and added some drama with the lighting and background. What do you think?

Awww… I think you did great! Look at that face! LOL… Great job, Mama!
great edit, love the brightness of her eyes
Great crop.
makes me wish I’d cropped in a little closer on mine, looks great!
I adore this photo and love how you edited it. For the longest time I was anti-edit on photos. I always wanted the perfect shot or I didn’t keep it. This previous week was the first time that I changed the hue on my photos and I realized that it’s not such a bad thing.
Thank you for sharing.
I know what you mean. But sometimes those photos are just so flat and the colors are nothing like they were in person, so sometimes we have to help them out to make them portray the beauty we seen!
I do believe that some people over edit photos. I don’t like that at all.
