Have I mentioned how much I love being an H-E-B Beauty Blogger? Not only do we have one of the best PR guys, the whole H-E-B team treats us fantastically! They really listen to us and care about what we have to say!
As you know I was just in San Marcos for the H-E-B Beauty Roadshow. I was able to see a handful of the other H-E-B Beauty Bloggers while I was there. It was wonderful busy 2 days. I wish it could have lasted a bit longer. I came back with an amazing amount of goodies that I will be trying and telling you all about some of them. For now though..it is time for the Beauty Pick of the Month!
This is actually a product we have been able to try before. I am not sure if we received it last year at the Beauty Roadshow, or if it was a special thing they sent us last year. Anyhow, we were already a fan and this was an easy review to write!
The Fekkai Hair Care line is amazing! Morgan and I abuse our hair. Seriously, like we beat it down. So we really need products that are going to help our hair to stay nice and healthy. The Fekkai Hair Care Kits help us do just that. A steal at around $26.98 value.
The Technician® Color Care starter kit is designed especially for treated hair. Start by protecting and hydrating your hair with a refreshing shampoo, and revitalize with a comb-through conditioner. Once or twice a week, restore your hair’s vibrant color with a moisturizing 3-minute mask.
The kit we are using is the Fekkai Technician Color Care Starter Kit. This is perfect since Morgan and I both color our hair.
Helps keeps color fresh and vibrant, helps maintain your hair color and helps provide UV protection. Fight the fade, hold on to the intensity and resilience in every step, every day.
The kit consists of Shampoo, Conditioner and the 3-Minute Mask. Our favorite part of this kit is most definitely the mask. It smells fantastic too! This is an affordable way to get Salon luxury at home.
Did you know that you can extend the life of your color by not washing it the first day following the coloring? Also, it is best to condition color treated hair every time you wash.
The 3-Minute Mask is a great way to make sure that your hair is properly conditioned. It is so thick and creamy and will make a difference in your color treated hair.
They also have Fekkai Starter Kits for Glossing. I have not used that one, so I can not personally comment on it as of yet.
The Glossing Starter Kit features a shampoo and conditioner enriched with an olive oil extract to promote a lavish luster and a glossing cream to eliminate frizz while boosting your hair’s shine.
Restores shine to normal or dull hair with pure olive oil. Delivers deep, dimensional brilliance, weightless shine, replenished moisture, restored softness and subdued frizz. The result: a smooth, healthy, glossing shine.
I’m a fan of anything that saves me money. By being able to do a salon style treatment at home I am definitely saving money! Plus, what mom has time to schedule a shower…let alone a regular salon appointment? I know I don’t!
The Giveaway!
Two (2) Not So Average Mama readers will each win a Fekkai Starter Kit!
This Giveaway will end on May 15th, 2012!
I received the products mentioned above to facilitate this review. No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

I use Purecology shampoo and conditioner.
I usually wash and blow dry it in the morning. Right now I use Pantene and would love to try this.
My daily hair routine is wash and air dry. I have longish hair and dont blow dry. I use Sauve- this would be fun to try.
I shampoo and condition, apply styling products (which ones depends on how I’m styling my hair), and blow dry…usually using a big, round brush to help shape and give volume. If I’m going out, I usually use velcro curlers for volume too.
